Miley Cyrus Doubles Up (E! Online)

Los Angeles (E! Online) - Giving her fans the best of both worlds is apparently too much for Miley Cyrus to handle on her own.

The singer, who performs both as herself and her Disney Channel alterego on the sold-out tour, was accused in an OK! magazine report this week of using a body double during a brief portion of her show.

"When it got the to bridge of the song 'We Got the Party,' her dancers began to crowd around her," one concertgoer told the magazine.

"Then they covered her with a black sheet and she went through a secret door. Within a second, a new 'Hannah' came out of a different door wearing oversized white glasses. The whole time this was happening Miley's vocals were still playing. The new imposter had her back turned while she danced, trying to hide that fact that she was not Miley Cyrus. At this instant I became very suspicious." (See video of the switcheroo.)

"Needless to say I was furious!" the irate fan added. "I paid good money to see the concert. I was disappointed and I felt like I was played for a fool."

In the wake of the report, a rep for the Hannah Montana star confirmed that Cyrus does indeed rely on body double for a brief part of her set in order to allow her to transform from Hannah back into herself.

"To help speed the transition from Hannah to Miley, there is a production element during the performance of 'We Got the Party' incorporating a body double for Miley," the rep said in a statement.

"After Hannah has completed the featured verse on the duet with the Jonas Brothers, a body double appears approximately one to two minutes prior to the end of the song in order to allow Miley to remove the Hannah wig and costume and transform into Miley for her solo set.

"Other than during this very brief transitional moment in the show, Miley performs live during the entirety of both the Hannah and Miley segments of the concert," the rep added.

The body double debacle is just the latest mini-scandal to affect Cyrus, who last month spoke up to defend herself over a series of so-called racy photos of her and a friend that were leaked on to the Internet.

The pictures, which showed Cyrus and a pal frolicking (fully clothed) in a hotel room and sharing a piece of licorice, were completely innocent, the teen insisted.

"They're nothing bad! It's not something I'm going to let slide. I'm really upset about it, 'cause it was, like, not even a big deal," Cyrus told New York's Z100 radio station.

"That's one of my best friends. I have all these girls who I hang out with all the time. It's two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that's bad, then what is the world coming to?"

The 15-year-old singer has been on the road with her wildly popular Best of Both Worlds tour since October and recently extended the trek through the end of this month. She's slated to wrap things up in Miami on Jan. 31.

Donda West death report inconclusive (AP)

LOS ANGELES - The exact cause of death couldn’t be determined but there was no sign of “surgical or anesthetic misadventure” in the death of Donda West, Kanye West’s mother, a coroner’s report said Thursday.

West, 58, died Nov. 10 at a Los Angeles-area hospital, a day after she had breast reduction, a tummy tuck and liposuction.

The report noted that coronary artery disease, the liposuction and mammoplasty, and multiple postoperative factors could have played a role, but said the exact contribution of each factor couldn’t be determined. The investigation found “therapeutic levels of medication” but no unusually high levels.

“The final matter of death could not be determined,” the coroner’s office said in a statement.

Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said the family was notified of the findings earlier Thursday. “They were appreciative of our efforts,” he said.

Asked if West would still be alive if she hadn’t undergone the surgery, Winter said: “She could, possibly. But she could have also died because of pre-existing cardiac issues.”

The coroner’s office had said early indications suggested West died from surgical complications.

West was found unresponsive at her home a day after her surgery. In emergency 911 tapes released earlier this month, two unidentified women told a dispatcher that West suffered a heart attack and unsuccessfully tried to revive her.

Dr. Jan Adams, who operated on West, has denied any wrongdoing. Adams has repeatedly suggested other causes of death including heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or accidental overdose of painkillers prescribed after the surgery.

The state medical board is investigating whether Adams’ license should be revoked or suspended after two alcohol-related arrests in the past four years.

Five months before her death, West had approached plastic surgeon Dr. Andre Aboolian of Beverly Hills, who was concerned about a pre-existing condition that may cause a heart attack during surgery. Aboolian didn’t operate on her.

West was the inspiration for the song “Hey Mama” on her rapper-son’s 2005 album, “Late Registration.”

She left academia in 2004 to manage her son’s career. She was chief executive of West Brands LLC and chairwoman of the Kanye West Foundation. In May, she published a memoir titled, “Raising Kanye: Life Lessons From the Mother of a Hip-Hop Star.”

Led Zeppelin consider future reunions (Yahoo! Music)

Dotmusic Thu Jan 10, 7:00 AM ET

Led Zeppelin are to hold a band meeting this month to discuss their future, it has been confirmed.

The reformed legends played a comeback concert at the O2 Arena in London last month, which was crowned 2007's biggest rock event.

Bass player John Paul Jones has admitted that no one has ruled anything out following the one-off gig.

"There is a band meeting in January. It could be fun to do more stuff," he told Rolling Stone magazine.

Speaking about the pressure surrounding December's gig, Jones said Zeppelin remained calm despite 1 million people applying for 7,000 tickets.

"For us, it was just, 'Let's get on and do it.' Obviously, it was quite a reception when we did get out there," he explained.

Chingy wants fresh start with DTP (AP)

By JONATHAN LANDRUM Jr., Associated Press Writer 9 minutes ago

ATLANTA - If Chingy could turn back the hands of time, he would rewind the clock back to almost three years ago, before he bolted from Ludacris’ Disturbing tha Peace camp.

“A lot of time was lost because no words were said between us,” he said. “We would run into each other but everyone had too much pride to say something, so nothing never got resolved. I regret that.”

Chingy, 27, abruptly left the label for to create his own, Slot-A-Lot Records, under Capitol Records in 2004 after his lawyer informed him that Ludacris and his manager Chaka Zulu were mismanaging his contract royalties. But the St. Louis-based rapper now says that his lawyer lied about the whole situation, prompting Chingy to make amends with Ludacris and Zulu at an awards show in Las Vegas last year.

In April, Chingy resigned with Island Def Jam and Disturbing tha Peace, a label that helped him thrive on his first album, “Jackpot,” which sold three million copies behind the 2003 smash hit “Right Thurr.”

While not with DTP, his next two albums saw a steady decline in sales. His second release, “Powerballin,” sold a million copies, and his next record, “Hoodstar,” sold half that.

Now, Chingy is trying to regain his top-selling status through his fourth album, “Hate It or Love It,” which was released in December.

“By now, everyone knows what type of artist I am,” he said. “So it’s a case where they either hate or love the type of music that I do.”

On the new album, Chingy pays homage to Ludacris by switching at times from his usually higher-pitched voice to an animated flow on words like his mentor on singles, “Fly Like Me” and “Gimme Dat.”

“When you get on the track with him, it makes you get into his level,” he said. “It just came out. I always take something positive from him. Some people thought we were beefing, but it wasn’t anything like that.”

Chingy believes he has learned a lot after the past turmoil, and has taken more of a role in his business endeavors.

“I’ve been rapping most of my life, but I didn’t pay attention to the business side,” he said. “Now, I’m involved more than ever. Everything I’ve gone through has made me become a more business-minded person. It made me understand the music industry for its entirety.”
